The singer from Entre Ríos Vanina Rivarola presents “India”, a reinterpretation of the emblematic album “Yo le canto al Paraguay” by Jorge Cafrune, 50 years after its release, to honor the legacy of such an immense artist of our folklore, as well as the repertoire that beautifully and delicately displays the best of the Paraguayan cultural heritage, at the time masterfully addressed in an orchestral way by the Mtro. Oscar Cardozo Ocampo.

The show stems from the conception of his new album, “India”, recently released, with the participation of Teresa Parodi, Ramón Ayala, Facundo Guevara and the talented Paraguayan artist Myrian Beatriz, and whose artistic production was in charge of of the renowned guitarist Diego Rolón.

The cover art of "India" is the work of the renowned photographer and visual artist Marcos López and perfectly synthesizes the spirit of this coastal sound scape and the atmosphere where this new material is born, typical of a universe that condenses the mysteries of the jungle and the river and the power of one and all women.

Contributing a personal, feminine and current aesthetic, which fuses the coast and the city and judiciously renews tradition with modernity, Vanina is accompanied by Emiliano Navazo on bass and Rolón himself on guitars, and thanks to new technologies, the show incorporates the voice of a young Ramón Ayala who crosses time and space in an exciting recitation that invokes those artists who exalted the extremely rich Paraguayan culture. The recitation is part of the song "Dulce Paraguay", authored by Ayala, which is an extremely timely rescue for this tribute to the sister country, although it was not originally part of the album's track list.

Positioning herself as one of the new vocal references of our coast, today that the chamamé, one of its most characteristic rhythms, is recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Vanina develops a more urban and electric approach to approach its coastal roots that invokes the sonority of the electronic Paraguayan polka, and which perfectly synthesizes the spirit of this coastal soundscape and the atmosphere in which this show unfolds, typical of a universe that condenses the mysteries of the jungle and the river into a modern language and the power of one and all women.
